I, Metro Bus

Marginal Revolution | Tyler Cowen | A Census ad on a Metro bus, socialist calculation debate edition

Chug relates to me that he saw the following, plastered on the side of a Metro bus:
If we don't know how many people there are
How will we know how many buses we need?
If you have a photo, please send it along.
I'm giggling a little, but also crying a little bit on the inside.

  1. I had the same reaction when I watched the Census commercial. I was like "you know you need more/less hospital when the number of beds is way out of whack with demand, not when it fails to match some pre-approved fraction of the population!"

  2. Also, we don't do a census every year.
